Flextech AKT presents Pocket A²B 1.0 and 2.0 Plus Audio – The industry-leading A²B bridge testers expand their features to include S/PDIF and analog audio inputs and outputs.
The new Plus Audio models extend the Pocket A²B platform with direct analog and digital audio connections for the development and validation of automotive audio systems.
Forstinning, Germany – April 16, 2026 – eVision Instruments, a European supplier of electronic test and measurement equipment, announces the availability of the new Pocket A²B 1.0 Plus Audio (part number AKT-1050-B) and Pocket A²B 2.0 Plus Audio (part number AKT-1150-E) from Flextech AKT (Audio Kimura Technology).
These latest models expand the proven Pocket A²B Bridge platform to include digital S/PDIF audio signals as well as analog audio inputs and outputs. This allows engineers to directly connect amplifiers, DACs, ADCs, and audio analyzers without the need for additional external converters. The Pocket A²B Bridge family has established itself as a standard tool for automotive audio engineers working with Analog Devices' A²B bus technology. These compact, USB-powered devices support the emulation of both A²B main and sub-nodes with up to 32 input and 32 output channels, functioning as a fully-fledged USB sound card. Engineers use them for test bench development, lab validation, and vehicle testing in software-defined vehicle (SDV) architectures.
With the Plus Audio expansion, Flextech AKT fulfills a frequently expressed wish of the engineering community: the ability to interact directly with standard audio devices. The additional digital and analog S/PDIF audio inputs and outputs eliminate the need for external converter hardware, simplify test setups, and reduce clutter on the test bench.

The AKT-1150-E (Pocket A²B 2.0 Plus Audio) combines A²B 2.0 features in a compact, pocket-sized package. Designed for the AD245x transceiver family, it offers integrated signal generators, automatic bus configuration, and automatic power-on detection—all combined with new S/PDIF and analog audio interfaces. The AKT-1050-B supports the AD242x/AD243x transceiver family (A²B 1.0), ensuring developers have access to a Plus Audio solution regardless of the A²B technology generation used. Both models are part of the comprehensive Flextech AKT Pocket tool ecosystem and are fully compatible with the Industrial A²B Bridge for teams scaling from prototype development to larger integrated test systems.
